Dan: The Blog is Dead…

Long live The Book!

Yes you’ve guessed it, The Flip Side of the Coin website is now available as a book. It’s called:

The Flip Side of the Coin: One Year in Uganda with VSO

And will be available from all good online booksellers from August 2009.

We’re using, a popular print-on-demand self-publishing company. We’ve been extremly impressed with the quality, cost and speed of delivery – and hopefully you will be too!

Front Cover

The price of the book will vary depending on which bookseller you chose to buy from, but a rough estimate is around £15. Which is a little steep but read on, because there’s more than one way to buy a book…

To save money we’ve ordered  a shipment of books for friends and family and so have managed to obtain a bulk-purchase discount on the above price. So please let us know if you are interested in buying a copy and we can give you one for a very reasonable £10. What’s more, this will include a £3 donation to Suubi Trust, the UK charity responsible for raising funds for Hope Ward at IHK.

This is not a profit-making enterprise – the only profit is the £3 which will go to Suubi Trust. So please consider making your purchase from us, rather than through Amazon, Waterstone’s, or any other online bookseller, none of whom will donate any of your money to Suubi Trust. (If you really can’t wait and want to buy a copy right away, you can do so by following the link to the Lulu website below.

Support independent publishing: Buy this book on Lulu.

If you want us to mail you a copy of the book for the £10 rate, can you add £1.50 for p&p to UK addresses. (If you live outside of the UK please suggest a reasonable amount for p&p!)

Just drop us a line using the form below and we’ll co-ordinate how to take your payment and how you want to receive the book. Cheers!
